Western Plains Zoo- [Dubbo] a two-hour drive from Orange CBD. An adventurous day meeting wildlife and animals from around the world. Zoo times 9am – 4pm, 7 days a week. Safari’s available by contacting 6882 5888.

Water activities are available at Lake Canobolas and Carcoar Dam. Fishing swimming, sailing is available. Please see town map for details

John Lomas Skate Park- [established in 2001-2002], it is a perfect place for kids to enjoy the thrills of a real life skate park. Corner of Moulder and Anson Streets Orange.

Orange Adventure Playground. The playground was built by locals and backs onto the Orange Botanic Gardens. A perfect place to send the kids for a play while the parents take in the natural beauty of the Botanic Gardens.

Dirt Bike Track- [Winter Street Orange], was completed in 2005, and is a great place for kids to take their bikes and enjoy a ride safely around the dirt tracks.

Bike Track at Gosling Creek- Forrest Road Orange, will ensure the kids get that well deserved break when travelling
